Keitora Ichi (Kei Truck Market) in Tokyo Motor Show

Born 10 years ago in Shizukuishi, Iwate Prefecture, the Keitora Ichi started as a farmers’ market where sellers in kei trucks (mini Japanese trucks) could gather. The market has grown into an event that helps revitalize shopping streets and cities across Japan, and it will make its Tokyo Motor Show debut this year.

Car Modeling Workshop

Car Modeling Workshop for Children

This workshop offers children an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind model car with industrial clay, a material that is used in actual car design, with help from professional car modelers. Children between the ages of 8 and 15 are eligible to participate with an accompanying adult.

The Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (SAE) will exhibit the top-performing vehicles that participated in the 2019 Student Formula Japan, which took place between Aug. 27 and 31, 2019.

About the Student Formula Japan https://www.jsae.or.jp/formula/jp/

Student Formula Japan is a competition among university, junior college, and vocational students on small formula-style racing cars which they have designed and built in the span of one year. The five-day-long competition focuses not only on vehicle performance but also on total craftsmanship, through activities such as the “Static Event” (cost and presentation), “Scrutineering,” and the “Dynamic Event” (acceleration, skid pad, autocross, endurance, efficiency). This year, a maximum of 98 teams were able to participate, but over 120 teams entered, with 89 competing in the end due to the selection process and teams that withdrew.

Car Design Forum Tokyo 2019

Car Design Forum Tokyo 2019 is a platform that invites key representatives from domestic and foreign automakers and members of the media to discuss car design.
This third edition of the biennial event that started in 2015 will feature a discussion on how designers are planning to adapt to rapid changes to automobiles, with the introduction of connected cars, automated driving, new energy vehicles (NEVs) and shared mobility. Designers will provide insight into their respective companies’ design strategy and creative solutions to the many challenges within the auto industry.
This event will bring together many of the world’s most influential designers from domestic manufacturers such as Toyota, Honda, and Nissan, European manufacturers such as Renault, and Chinese manufacturers such as SAIC and Byton.

Special Purpose Vehicles Exhibition

The Rinkai Holdings Group will organize the popular “Special Purpose Vehicles Exhibition” again to coincide with this year’s Tokyo Motor Show.
