The Environmental Management Committee of the National Capital Region Nine Government Summit Council has long been involved in working on reducing the environmental impact of automobiles to improve air environment in the National Capital Region.
We are promoting Eco-driving as one measure.
Eco-driving is a driving technique for decreasing the number of emission gases exhausted from automobiles. It is friendly to the earth and your wallet with improved fuel efficiency. Furthermore, it has an effect on accident prevention.
Please try our Eco-Driving Simulator and master the eco driving technique. It will dramatically change your driving life! Anyone from adults to children can enjoy it.

The booth produced by the Road Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism introduces solutions to a variety of issues involved with road transport, such as accidents and congestion, by interconnecting people, vehicles and roads through information. The exhibited solutions include ETC2.0, which allows smart and convenient road use, and other examples of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).
Visitors can also see the status of field operational tests in the automated driving services, centred on roadside stations that operate across the country, with the aim of ensuring human exchanges and logistics in hilly and mountainous areas.
Automated driving services that will be propped up by cutting-edge road infrastructure systems will be implemented in real life by 2020.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the National Agency for Automotive Safety & Victims' Aid (NASVA) make comparatively easy evaluations and announcements of safety performance of automobiles, etc. Japan new car assessment are conducted to promote the development of safer vehicles by manufacturers. In the booth, various exhibitions related to automobile assessment, such as the exhibition of test vehicles that won the Five Star Award for collision safety performance evaluation, are held.

Together with "Wannovation Team," a group comprising 10 partner companies, Roland Berger's in-house project members of "Let's Move Together!" will be showcasing their latest development, the "Butler Car," a remote controlled EV which runs in low speed. Designed to provide transportation service of minimum mobility, passengers will be hosted by guides and service personnel on board. We will offer a ride in the back seat of the car by using VR headsets which will be available at the exhibition booth. A streaming of 3D videos will show future images of minimum mobility. You also have a chance to see the viewpoint of a remote driver who monitors and controls the car, too. There is also a test-drive demonstration on the Open Road.
